Alhumdullillah by the Grace of almighty Allah the Diagnostic Centre and the Hospital Project has come to the Renovation Stage.
It has been a very hard struggle to get to this stage and Alumdulillah I can say with great pride that without the duas, support & great generosity from the community and without the help of Allah (swt) we would not have reached this position.
Ma Sha Allah the Nana family in Bangkok, Thailand have donated a very large amount of money. May Allah (swt) grant them even greater success in this world and the hereafter.
I would like to mention a few names whom I think have dedicated a lot of time and effort to make this project a great success.
Imran Piperdi (Former Secretary RSVP (UK)) worked for several years discreetly behind the scene. Whenever he was given a task to do he would do it straight away and never said no to anything we asked him to do.
Ahmed Saleh who has worked tirelessly to make sure this project become successful is always on hand to do anything selflessly.
Also I would like to thank the old RSVP Rander Board who oversaw this project. Particularly, Ismail Bham who was the Vice President and was fundamental in buying this property. He has worked tirelessly for the betterment of the community.
I would also like to thank Dr Baporia. Azambhai Salehbhai, Ebrahim Mulla, Ismail Bham who are all in hospital committee.
Finally all the people who donated and sponsored the Fundraising events held in May 2014 for the Hospital Project. May Allah grant them and their families happiness in this world, the hereafter and the best place in Jannat ul Firdos. In Sha Allah, the community continue to support this project.
May Allah guide me and all the people who are involved in the Hospital Project with sincerity and protect us from misdeeds.
Uusiikum bis salati, wa maa malakat aimanukum -
Take care of salah and take care of the weak people among you.
Ummatii, ummatii, ummatii -
My people, my people, my people
I begin in the name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Merciful.
When we look back 8 years ago it seemed like an impossible dream. The “RSVP UK & Nana Charitable Hospital” is something for Randeris to be proud off and we thank Allah for making it a reality.
We kept hearing that other smaller villages and communities has prospered and we can’t even preserve what we have. This is not true, we are the nation of doers and not dreamers our culture is rich and our people are our assets. Randeris’ are charitable and loving people, our assets date back as far back as 150 years. We are educated and talented, our charitable work is not only undertaken in Rander but across india, Saudi, Thailand, USA, Singapore, Burma just to name the few. Our charitable assets in Rander are our schools, two major madrassas, orphanage, masajids, gymkhana, kutub khana, musafir khana etc... just to name the few, the only thing that was missing from the long list was a charitable hospital and Allah has fulfilled Randeris dua.
It all started with the Diagnostic Centre. Dr. Baporia on his visit to Blackburn in 2007 requested consultant service for our community in Rander. The consultant service is very expensive and was a necessity for Randeris. Myself and Ismail Surty immediately agreed and said Lab’aik on his call. We then requested our family members to support this worthy cause and within hours we had enough people to enable us to commence this service. The first Diagnostic started on 29th February 2008 and has gone from strength to strength.
This was the birth of new hospital, it was unfathomable task by any stretch of imagination however we had hope and were inspired by the quote from Quran 13:11
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves”
we kept pondering on the thought of hospital since 2008 but this idea was only in our mind and were too scared of being mocked and ridiculed by people as it was not a small feast, but someone had to do it and we were also inspired by the couplet from the Indian poet Majrooh Sultanpuri
Main akela hi chala tha janibe-e-manzil magar Log sath aate gaye aur karavan banta gaya -
I started all alone towards the goal/(but) people kept joining and it began to turn into a caravan
I started all alone towards the goal/(but)
people kept joining and it began to turn into a caravan
In 2010 the idea was presented to RSVP UK in the 36th Annual General Meeting held in Manchester. At first it looked like a mammoth task. But with time, endurance, struggle and people’s dua it has now becoming reality. Firstly, we thank Allah and then our families, relatives and our community who blindly trusted and supported us, they also guided us where we were weak, specially Ismail surty who was always with me and giving me the boost when I was low.
The total cost of purchase and refurbishment is estimated at £200,000. With the purchase of hospital the 2nd phase is due to commence soon, insha Allah
There are four main phases for this project and are listed below:
Final Words, Our advice to younger generation is to have purpose in life, invest something in there here after, and be doers and not just dreamers. The world is full dreamers but few doers and whatever you do, it should be done with Ikhlaas and good intention then Allah will support you against all odds.
